Obituaries: Susan (Tyburski) Steele
Susan (Tyburski) Steele, 55, of Forestville, beloved wife, mother, teacher and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
Born in New Britain on August 30, 1960, she was one of three daughters to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Bodurka) Tyburski. Raised in Bristol, she was a graduate of Bristol Eastern High School, and went on to attend Western Connecticut State University, and Central Connecticut State University, from where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and her Master’s Degree in education. Sue began her teaching career in the Plainville School System at Toffolon Elementary School, where she would meet her husband, Jeff, sharing with him close to 25 years of marriage. She touched the lives of countless students and fellow teachers during her more than thirty years as an educator, currently in the English Arts Department at the Middle School of Plainville, where she leaves many friends, coworkers and adored students. Additionally, she was greatly involved as a representative and Vice President of the Education Association of Plainville. Above all, Sue devoted much of her time to her family, volunteering for her daughter’s girls scout troop for the past fifteen years, and looked forward to family vacations to Bar Harbor and Cape Cod. She will be deeply missed, leaving a tremendous void in the lives of everyone she met.
In addition to her husband, Jeff, she leaves her children, Zach and Kate, both of Forestville; her sisters, Nancy Jordan and her husband, Bill of Rhode Island and Judith Purney of Bristol; her mother-in-law, Helen Steele of Bristol; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Cathy Steele and Kathy and Stan Zurek all of Plainville; along with many nieces and nephews. She was recently predeceased by her father-in-law, Raymond Steele and her brother-in-law, John Purney, both formerly of Bristol.
A memorial service in celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Monday at 5:00 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 90 Church Ave., Forestville. Obituaries: Ernestine (Morneault) Pelletier
Ernestine (Morneault) Pelletier, 88, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, passed away surrounded by her beloved family on Thursday, January 7, 2016.
She is now reunited with the love of her life, Raoul, who predeceased her in 2004.
Born in St. Agatha, Maine on April 24, 1927, she was one of six children to the late Ernest and Cora (Chasse) Morneault. She and Raoul settled in Plainville, sharing 57 years of marriage and raising a family of seven, all of whom she was very proud and enjoyed watching grow throughout four generations. She was employed for fourteen years at Marlin-Rockwell-TRW, from where she retired in 1979. Known for her beautifully crocheted afghans, Ernestine enjoyed gifting them to her family and friends just as much as they appreciated receiving them. A talented singer in her earlier years, she also enjoyed playing cards, but loved nothing more than being a Memere, surrounded by her adored grandchildren. The matriarch of her family, she will be dearly missed, leaving many cherished memories and legacy of love.
She is survived by her children, Daniel of North Windham, Idola Raymond and her husband, Philip of Deerfield Beach, FL., Linda, Robert of Plainville, Rena Pelletier and her husband, Joseph of Bristol, James and his wife, Trudy of Plainville, and Nancy and her husband, Norm Ravagnani, Jr., of Portland; her daughter-in-law, Linda Miles Pelletier; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves her brothers, Ronaldo ‘PeeWee” Morneault of ME., and Lorenzo “Pete” Morneault of CA., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Aline and Geraldine Brochu and her brother, Joseph “Jello” Morneault.
Funeral services in celebration of Ernestine’s life will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, Forestville. Mr. Larry R. Lyons, 61, of Plainville passed Wednesday January 6, 2016 at his home.
Larry was born February 21, 1954 in New Britain a son of the late Melvin and Marion (Robinson) Lyons and was a lifelong Plainville resident. He was a graduate of Plainville High School and had worked for Connecticut Jig Grinding for many years. Larry was an avid fisherman, loved camping and was also a fan of the New York Yankees and New England Patriots. Larry loved to entertain his family by telling stories of his childhood adventures with his brother Bob.
Larry leaves behind his daughter Lacey Songhurst and her husband Jeffrey of Wallingford and his grandchildren Dillon and Isabella. He was predeceased by his brother Robert.

Jeanne d’Arc (Soucy) Nadeau, 78, of Plainville, Ct, passed away Sunday January 10, 2014 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was the wife of the late Fernand Nadeau.
Mrs. Nadeau was born August 18, 1937 in Baker Brooke, N.B. Canada a daughter of the late Paul and Beatrice (Morneault) Soucy and was a longtime Plainville resident. She was a very charitable woman who donated to several charities and organizations. She was also a foster parent to a child overseas for over 9 years. Jeanne loved playing bingo and was an avid wrestling fan. Mrs. Nadeau was a Communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville.
She leaves her sons, Jeannot Nadeau and his wife Anne of East Hartford and Gilles Nadeau and his wife Therese of Plainville, her grandchildren, Gary Nadeau and his wife Alison, Jeffrey Nadeau, Matthew Nadeau and Gregory Nadeau and her great granddaughter, Alivia Nadeau.
