Mr. Larry R. Lyons, 61, of Plainville passed Wednesday January 6, 2016 at his home.
Larry was born February 21, 1954 in New Britain a son of the late Melvin and Marion (Robinson) Lyons and was a lifelong Plainville resident. He was a graduate of Plainville High School and had worked for Connecticut Jig Grinding for many years. Larry was an avid fisherman, loved camping and was also a fan of the New York Yankees and New England Patriots. Larry loved to entertain his family by telling stories of his childhood adventures with his brother Bob.
Larry leaves behind his daughter Lacey Songhurst and her husband Jeffrey of Wallingford and his grandchildren Dillon and Isabella. He was predeceased by his brother Robert.
Family and friends may gather at the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville on Saturday January 16, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a service celebrating Larry’s life beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately.
